If you are developing on windows and need to use Ruby, or Ruby on Rails, AND you want to install to a portable drive. I have found 3 options thus far.
1. Instant Rails (no tweaking required, works if you just install to your portable drive)
2. FlashRails (worked, but I began using InstantRails for most things)
3. RubyStack (haven’t delved too much into this install)
So far I like Instant Rails the best. Takes a sec to get used to the interface, but I’m finding all the options I expect. It’s easy to change the apache port, etc. No problems yet.
