- any others I come across and have time/ energy to install and play with.
I’ve been using wordpress a lot lately and while I really enjoy a lot of it’s features and themes, I like Ruby a lot more than PHP. Plus, learning PHP, while fun, has taken a toll on my learning of Ruby. So I’m looking for quick rails cms/blog frameworks that are as functional and useful out of the box as WordPress 
And that is a lot to ask. WordPress has been being developed for a long time. *Note: This is an initial, not thorough, pass through each of these apps. I’m sure I’ll miss a lot of features. Where applicable, I may focus my comments on installation so that others may get these apps up locally and form their own impressions.
Lastly, I’m still learning ruby and rails. If I complain about a problem and you know of an easy solution, please don’t hesitate to explain your fix!
